Freshman Projects Class Intro Project Buddha Light Sculpture
This group intro project, was the first assignment of my Freshman Engineering Projects class. We were prompted to design a light up sculture which would bring awarenss to an issue we thought was prevalent on our campus. The team chose to address the issue of student anxiety and lack of sleep. The group 3D printed a model of the buddha sculture and placed it on a platform which housed a light circuit.
My Contributions to the Team
My role in the project was to wire the circuit to program a series of 6 LEDs to blink at a frequency known for effects of relaxation. The lights would turn on at the touch of a button. The hope being that students would see and interact with the sculpture in the lobby of the engineering center and it would hopefully remind them to focus on their self care and sleep routine amongst the many pressures of being an engineering student.
